Avani Hotels in Thailand Participates in Vaccination

In support of the Thai Government’s Covid-19 vaccination drive to facilitate the country’s reopening to international tourists, Avani Hotels in Thailand is pleased to confirm that all qualified employees of Avani+ Samui Resort and Avani Ao Nang Cliff Krabi Resort have received the second jab, achieving complete vaccination.

The two properties became one of the first few hotels in Thailand to have qualified staff vaccinated by either Sinovac or AstraZeneca vaccines, both approved by the Thai Food and Drug Administration (Thai FDA).

Also nearing the 100% vaccination rate target is Avani Pattaya Resort, where more than 50% of employees received the first shot in early April 2021 and expected completion of the second vaccination by mid of May 2021. The remaining Avani Hotels in Thailand have already been registered for the Government’s vaccination programme and are expected to commence their drives soon.

With all the necessary safety and cleanliness practices in place, all Avani properties in Thailand have also been certified by The Ministry of Public Health and obtaining the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s (TAT) certification for Thailand Safety and Health Administration (SHA). In addition, all Avani Hotels have adopted a range of heightened hygiene and sanitising standards, collectively known as the brand’s safety and hygiene programme, the AvaniSHIELD, to ensure the health and safety of guests and team members.

“With the vaccination programme commencing for the hospitality sector, we do believe that there is a light at the end of the tunnel,” said Michael Marshall, Chief Commercial Officer of Minor Hotels, the parent company of Avani Hotels & Resorts. “There’s a lot of interest from our international travel partners about resuming international travel into Thailand, and thanks to the Government’s decision to reduce the quarantine period for the vaccinated travellers, the wait will hopefully be over very soon.”

Avani Hotels is looking forward to welcoming guests to Thailand for a worry-free holiday at the brand’s properties in Bangkok, Koh Samui and Krabi, among others. Avani Hotels operates eight properties in Thailand, with plans to open two more resorts in lanta and Khao Lak before the end of 2021.
